How to Backup Driver in Windows XP, Vista & 7 August 20, 2010

If you buy that new devices such as printers, modems or other devices in your PC, usually you are given too dibundle cable or CD simultaneously.

The CD contains drivers that will be bridging of Windows and the device. Well, unfortunately, if we only rely on a CD while the CD contains drivers scratched or damaged data, then we must re-download from the internet.

Looking for drivers on the internet is not easy, especially if the product is outdated. Well, prevention is better than cure.

For that, we should backup important driver devices. In Windows, do not provide a way to backup only the drivers, if you want to have to backup the entire system. Now, we need tool as a means of backup drivers our devices in Windows.

Double Driver is the solution. This tool will be “saved” all drivers to a folder that we want to backup. Use simple and portable, too! Just checklists drivers so this utility is run.

Change the Windows XP Password by Command Prompt August 14, 2010

The Command in use is net user. If you’ve never used a command in windows, let us learn to try it.

  1. Open cmd or DOS via Start > Run then type cmd and press enter.
  2. So what commands can be used to change the password? The command we will use is net command. To see what is the usefulness of the net command, type net/? then press Enter. To be more specific, we will use the net user command. Type this command that will display a list of existing users on Windows are. Usually users are on windows xp is the administrator, your users, guest.
  3. Then, how can we change the password of these users? Type the command line net user/? to know the functions of this command.
  4. To make changes to your user’s password on the user must choose which one you want to give your password or you want to remove the password, for example, administrator user so you just type in cmd windows the command net user administrator 123456 then enter.
  5. Try to logoff, and login with the user that the password had been changed. Password will be changed to 123456 in accordance with our request.
  6. What if want to empty/delete the password? Typing: net user administrator*
  7. Then if there is a display to request a new password, leave blank then press enter until the change password message has been successfully conducted.

Sorry this trick needs to be careful because if there is damage to your hardware and software is your own responsibility.

  1. First, open the [Start] and select [Run] then type lusrmgr.msc then press Enter.
  2. Then you will see Local Users and Groups windows. In this window we can change the password on Windows. Then select the Users folder on the left and see the window on the right will display a list of existing users.
  3. Select the user who wants to change the password. Right click on Users and select Set Password… For example we want to change the administrator password, then right click on Administator user and select Set Password…
  4. Then a warning window will appear about risk to change/reset Administrtator passwords. Click Proceed to continue our work.
  5. Fill the new password that we want to put on the New Password and confirm the new password again in Confirm Password.
    Well done.. completed.
